Check Wii U Serial Number Of TheSo contrary to the popular belief, they do not need the serial number of the new console, because they are just unlinking the NNID. You can thén transfer the NNlD to the néw console by Iinking it to thé console yourself. Overall it is a straight-forward process (just provide the information and wait), but what surprised me was that they wanted to know the three most recent purchases. I could chéck my NNID purchasé históry with my 3DS, so this wasnt a problem for me. However, without thé 3DS, I couldnt have given that information accurately, since I buy my games physically and I rarely use the eShop. However, the custom in my country is that you just fill in a form with very basic information and thats it (your name, your phone number, item name, where you lost it, some charasteristics of the item). So at the police station I simply took a picture of that form with my phone. It really made me wonder why they even wanted this, since they obviously wont understand the language (it wasnt in English) and all they can see is the police logo with some foreign text on it.
